“That was an amazing dinner. I’m so glad we chose there over our normal spot.” Jim says as he opens the car door for Diane.
“Yes it was. I have a feeling we may have just added a restaurant to our rotation” she responds as she gets walks to the door. She lightly kisses Jim on the lips and then slides into the car. “Where to now? Movie? Drinks?”
“Nah, we can do that any weekend. How about we take a walk downtown around the fountains?”
“Sounds good. I don’t feel like being around a lot of people. Just the two of us.”
They find a parking spot, get out, and walk hand-in-hand and just talk. They stop to look at the view of lake beyond the fountains and she steps next to him, putting her head on his shoulder. He wraps his arm around her waist and they just stand there silently, watching the waves.
Diane breaks the silence. “I’m ready to go, but not end the evening. Mind if I drive?”
Jim just pulls away a little to give her a slightly confused look. “Sure. Where are we headed?”
