**Chapter I**
She didn’t know it yet, but she was already dead.
“Are you guys sure you’re going to be OK?” said Frannie, tossing her giant suitcase onto the check-in counter.
“We’ll be fine,,” said John. “You’re only gonna be gone for two weeks. I’m sure we won’t burn down the house.”
No we wouldn’t burn down the house, but we were definitely going to set it on fire. With a lot of heat, a lot of steam, and a shit ton of hot sex.
“John and I will be fine,” I assured. “Enjoy China and bring me back something cool, OK?”
Her eyes welled up with emotion. In just four months, I already had her eating out of my hands, believing whatever the hell I wanted her to believe. This was going better than I expected. There was no wrong I could do. No sin I could commit to make her doubt my *love* for them. Shit, I could’ve fucked John right in front of her, and she’d probably still think I was an angel. But I didn’t want to risk that just yet. Not quite yet. There were still a lot of things about me I had to re-remember and I couldn’t be stupid like that.
