“I still really can’t believe you showed me that picture of him.” She giggled, her face propped up in her hand.
“Yeah?” I opened my laptop and hit the power button.
“Mhmm.” She bit her lip. “It was . . . really nice though.” She glanced away, and when her eyes returned, I could see desire in them.
“I’m glad. You see . . . Peter and I had an idea last night. We, um. Here, let me just show you.” I picked up my phone, opened the chat bubble, and scrolled back. I handed her the phone, and she began reading. I made an effort to seem nonchalant as I logged in to the laptop and brought up an internet window. I glanced over as covertly as I could, and she was blushing. She kept scrolling, her expression unmoving.
She handed the phone back, not quite meeting my eyes.
I swallowed hard. “Andie, what do you think?”
She looked up at me grinning and nodded.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
