Hansel and Gretel never recovered mentally from their ordeal with the old hag in the woods. The siblings, throughout the years, resented their father for losing quickly the fortune they brought to him from the witch. Their evil step mother ran off with their fortune never to return. Their father grew tired of the constant ridicule and tricked the pair, leading them into the woods, abandoning them and leaving then alone to fend for themselves. Forsaken by their hapless father, the teenage siblings Hansel and Gretel were forced from their home…again.
Gretel bemoans, “We’ve been walking for hours, you’re so stupid. You have no idea where we are, I’m tired of walking.” For which Hansel replies, “Shut the fuck up, you never shut up, I’m tired of your shit!” They pass familiar territory and Hansel began to remember these woods from the last time their selfish parents left them. Gretel states, “I can’t believe that asshole father left us in the woods, again.” “Yeah, I gotta quit trusting that bastard,” Hansel replied. As Hansel looks around he recalls from his memory, “I think that old bitch that tried to eat us lived over there.” Hansel points toward a rocky hillside seen from a few miles away. “It shouldn’t be long Gretel, we will at least have shelter, maybe water.”
