The sound of dice tapping and rolling on the hard, wooden table could be heard throughout the house. Stephanie’s brother and his small group of friends played Dungeons and Dragons, loud and rowdy, as they did every friday night. Stephanie remembered watching them play sometimes before her jump when, she was still a man. They would play their characters, have a few drinks, and have a wonderful time in their fantasy world.
There was her brother, Jon, and four of his friends, all getting together every week. Nathan was tall and robust, with sandy hair and unkempt stubble. He wore a hawaiin shirt and blue jeans, and had a deep but playful voice. Stephanie had never thought much of him, though she remembered back when she was a teenage boy, before the jump, that he was a funny guy.
Jenkins was on the shorter side, with a very thin but athletic build. His hair was a soft ginger colour with a bit of blond, and he had a perfectly trimmed goatee and an ironic handlebar mustache. He wore a black, short sleeved, button down shirt, and khakis. Stephanie saw this charming, quirky quality in him, and saw him as sort of a sweet, hipster sort of character.
