Becky was relieved to have finally received a text back from her friend Maria. She had been worried about her friend for some time now. Warning her over and over again that playing around with magic and the occult weren’t things a good Christian girl was supposed to do. She tried to warn her friend, but it was frustrating that she didn’t want to listen. Becky kept Maria in her prayers, but when she disappeared she began to really fear for her friend’s soul. She wasn’t at class, and she wasn’t returning texts. Her prayer became more desperate, willing to give anything just to know that her friend was all right. That’s why when Maria asked her to meet at the campus library she didn’t hesitate.
Packing a bag with her notes from classes Maria missed Becky rushed over to find her friend. The library was rather large and had several small, secluded, soundproof rooms. These rooms could be checked out for hours at a time and allow for students to meet up and be as loud as they wanted when studying. Maria’s text had said she had reserved one towards the back for several hours. When Becky arrived she found it was out of the path of normal foot traffic. Hardly anyone was around as she approached the room, and those that were paid no attention to her.
