It was around 10:30AM.
Elisa was not a morning person. She knew she had to get to her film class at noon. Reluctantly, she pulled off her heavy blanket. And it was heavy — 10 lbs actually. It was one of those weighted blankets she saw on TV infomercial one night — an impulse buy after few glasses of Sauvignon Blanc.
Her apartment was chilly and her small nipples perked up under the baggy pajamas as she got up from the bed. On her way to the kitchen for a cup of coffee, she realized that she forgot to buy some from the Whole Foods the day before. She had a proclivity for forgetting such things.
‘Oh… great’ — she said to herself, and started to get dressed.
Elisa decided to head over to Cafe Lokal — the coffeeshop across the street, which was usually empty around that time.
