I use to work for a big time ticket broker out in NYC. We sold broadway tickets, sport events, and concerts, basically any event you could think of. I always ended up working weekends and we allowed people to pick them up in person so I ended up staying until 10pm or later.
A lot of the time, people can’t make it so those tickets ended up not being used. We are talking about $500+/ticket not getting used. It happened a lot where I start to just sell them on the side and my boss didn’t care, he already got the money and people didn’t want to come on time.
I loved playing in my office, sooooo I went to Reddit and I would post them online like what would you do for tickets. I would literally pick my choice of people. It was usually sport events but once I awhile it would be a high dollar amount like Hamilton or Harry Potter so I would raise my demands or the first person that got to the address I sent them got the tickets.
