So I [28M] am a long time lurker of this sub and now a first time poster. This all happened last summer and not sure why I didn’t put it up earlier. Anyways, first a bit of background story:
It is the beginning of 2021 and everyone is in lockdown again (West-Europe in my case), and this one time when I’m visiting the parents I got the question if I already made plans for the summer. For very obvious reasons I haven’t plus that my long-time gf had broken up with me 2 months prior. My parents have this idea to rent a house in the south of France for a week to guarantee a holiday since the previous summer was ruined by covid, which sounds awesome to me: a house with beautiful weather and a nice backyard with a swimming pool and a barbecue, in the case the lockdown measurements would be still applicable the rest of the year. They sell it to me as “to live in your own bubble if needed when all is still/again depressing”, and I’m completely sold.
