Preface: this is my first time ever writing any sort if story and my punctuation and spelling are crap. That said id love any and all feedback!!

Michael woke with a start at the sound of the front door slamming shut. *oh great* he thought for he must have slept through his wife’s phone calls and she was cranky after a long night black Friday shopping. As to confirm his thought he reached for his phone on his bed side table and became confused when he had no knew messages or calls. *surely Jannae would have called before she came home * he thought. She always calls when she is done with the retail holiday. After determining that the sound he heard had not come from an angry wife closing the door he became slightly nervous, but knew he must investigate the clatter. At twenty-years old Michael was a big man standing at six foot tall and tipping the scale at two hundred forty pounds he was an imposing figure. He wasnt solid muscle as he had once been, he had let himself go a bit after his nuptuals as many men do. However one look at him and you could still see the remnants of an athletic man who for a time trained and competed as a mixed martial artist, aswell as a man who had worked physical labor most his life. Even with his formidable statue and combat prowess even he would get nervous when things wen bump in the night.
