When I was in my 20’s I went back to school for my MBA, mostly taking classes at night before the whole online thing caught on.
In the majority of my classes I was the oldest at 27, when most of the other students had gone straight from college to grad school. One class, an accounting class, was the exception. Mary was 42 and was working as a basic bookkeeper at her job and was gunning for a promotion. She figured that some accounting classes would help her.
She was attractive, but not a model. She was likely a smokeshow in high school and college, but age and kids had affected her. She was a little thicker, had a few wrinkles, and her style was mainly soccer-mom that worked in an office.
But, she was fun. Because classes were 6-9, she would join some of us for beers after class since her husband was in charge of putting the kids to bed.
The week of Thanksgiving meant classes were cancelled, but we were working on a project together and met at the library on Tuesday night to work on some things. After a few hours of work, we grabbed a beer.
