Ed was a scrawny kid in high school and a lazy slob through his 20s. But he got fit in his thirties and by 40 he was turning heads at the 20th high school reunion…with his broad chest and shaved head he got some compliments. In high school he had been friends with Bri. They were in the same group. Geeky kids, music and theater kids, hanging out and goofing around. Mostly wholesome fun. They even shared a stage kiss back in the day. Bri was a typical 18 year old back then, trim with a swimmers build. She continued running and was fit in her 40s.
Bri and Ed lost touch…their paths went separate ways. Bri ended up with the smartest kid in class, Kirk. Now in their 40s and married a decade they had 2 kids and a dog. Ed married young and had kids right away. He went a more conservative route in life.
So at the height of the pandemic, Ed’s world came crashing down when he said those words to his wife “I’m bisexual.”. They tried to make it work, but it was too much for her. And for him. It was confusing. Ed doubled up on the workouts and got a small place near his family. Along the way he’d reconnected with his old friends, Bri among them. She was supportive and understood. She’s bi too she said.
