It was just after lunch on a casual Saturday afternoon, I was hanging out with a bunch of my friends at our local water park. It was a day like any other day, the sun was high in the sky and it’s warmth slowly roasted my pale skin. Rapid slides and slick wet surfaces for us to keenly slip on, soft bright water and lovingly over priced ice cream it was fun to be had. We were laughing and enjoying life to it’s fullest, teasing each other about whatever little thing we could muster because despite us all being twenty years of age, we still acted the same as if we were twelve again.
“Hey ghost cheeks, heads up!” Carly yelled as she threw a soaked foam ball at my head.
“Not fair!” I screamed in retaliation, throwing the ball at her smug face.
