One day a few months ago, I decided to play a round of golf. I went solo and got a tee time around 2:30, not super late but there were plenty of times available later in the day. However, it was a pretty cold day so there weren’t a lot of people out in the course. I payed my fees, hopped in my cart, and went over to the first tee. There were two old guys out in the fairways and it seemed like they would play slow for the rest of the day. Whatever, I’ll play a few balls per hole and get some extra practice in.
It was around the 12th hole where I started to realize that I had never been pushed to play faster. Am I the last person out in the course? Awesome! Now I can hit all the balls that I want!
I rolled up to the 13th teebox and the two old guys had just carted off onto the fairway. Normal golf etiquette would say that they should offer to let me play through, but I didn’t care. It was nice to go at my own pace. So while they drove off, I whipped out my phone and opened reddit to pass the time. I opened the search bar and typed in the first thing that popped into my mind.
