Like any other night, we’re sitting in bed, catching up on our TV shows. The room is a bit chilly tonight, so we’re both fully clothed and bundled up under our soft, warm sheets. As we get to the end of our final show, we finally rest our heads against our pillows to get ready to try and sleep. Our show finally ends, we talk for a bit and then we kiss each other goodnight. I turn my head, close my eyes, and begin to daydream, hoping I fall asleep soon. I hear you rustling behind me, tossing and turning, as if you’re unable to get comfortable.
“What are you doing?” I turned around and asked you.
“I can’t get comfortable. My back has been bothering me all day and none of the medicine I’ve taken has helped and now I can’t fall asleep.” you tell me.
“Is there anything I can do? I asked
“If you’re not too tired, could you maybe rub my back with lotion?” you questioned, with a look of discomfort.
I, of course, obliged. Anything to help ease your pain and help you fall asleep. I go and grab the lotion from the dresser and return to bed.
