It happened when i was 14. I gotta go to this dentist near our house regularly to fix my tooth gap.
The dentist was an amiable guy in his early 30s. I used to fear dentists but not him. He was pretty gentle and always smiling.
My mom accompanied me on these visits. As a typical Asian family, my dad wasn’t that involved in affairs of children. All he did was go to his job and earn money.
My mom seemed slightly older than the dentist since he always used an honourable affix reserved for older women tho I never knew his true age.
My mom was about 35 then. As many Asian women, she looked younger than her age. She boasted generous curves while maintaining the relatively slim waist.
She was always kind and friendly. But in hindsight she seemed a bit too friendly with him. I didn’t notice it then given my young age. Now when I thought about these events, I could see the clues were there.
For eg, my mom once said to him: “My son used to fear dentists. But he’s different with you”
