This whole social distancing thing has gotten me around to writing more of my stories. This one is back from when I was still in the military.

I had a gay friend Rich who always had the pulse of the party scene in DC. Every year he and his friends had the tradition of going on a huge bar crawl every Veterans day. They came up with a list of the bars with specials for active duty military (he and a lot of his friends were Air Force). We are prime candidates for those deals because we’d show up for the free appetizer, stay for 2 hours drinking heavily, and tip well at the end. By the second bar, our group had increased size to 8, including two women. The more attractive one, Alex, struck up a conversation with me. Few months ago I spent a (sadly) uneventful weekend in Vegas. On the drive home I had to drop off a friend and it added an hour to the already 6 hour drive… We left early as not to get stuck in traffic. By the time I got home, it was mid afternoon and after a weekend of partying (specifically in Vegas) I was exhausted and passed out for awhile.
