This is **totally** true story and it felt a little bit liberating and empowering to write. The writing on this sub has always intimidated me a little bit so I hope it’s worthy!
This is part 1 and if anybody wants to hear more I can share more :)
We pulled up to the cabin and my immediate reaction was to let out a slight gasp. Jen always told me how beautiful it was, but the stories she shared never gave it enough credit. I looked over to her and I could tell she had mixed emotions. The cabin used to be place where her family would winter but since the divorce they never visited anymore. Why she would want to return to a place that opened up the recently healed wounds of her parents divorce. Even though it was both our sophomore year winter break I could tell she felt uncomfortable being back at the cabin.
