Erotic Short Help

So, recently I wrote an erotic short story that I think would be pretty good on here and say Tumblr. This is my first go round with something like this and I am looking for someone to help put a little “polish” on the story.

The story is a fantasy based on a rather graphic exchange on Kik. When I sent it to the person for whom I had wrote the story, it was met with “juicy” success. Haha, I know at least one person could appreciate it.

I don’t think I want to copyright it or anything, but I don’t want to lose credit for it if it turns out to be popular (maybe wishful thinking, but would be cool).

Any help or ideas to go about this would be most welcome.

  1. Generally speaking, even if you want to defend against the internets theft/share methods, you’re gonna see it stolen and shared. You can try to move up the authenticity food chain so to speak. For example, Tumblr post or reddit post of erotica can be stolen as fast as someone can ctrl+a ctrl+c ctrl+p. Moving into sites that are less populated but have been checks can help, but there’s still some ways to steal it by changing a name, rewriting a paragraph or something.

The general rule for sharing any art form is “if you don’t want it stolen without accreditation, don’t post it”.

You can include a link to your self in the post that many people might be too lazy to remove, like an artists signature. But again, once the internet has it, it becomes its own beast. I having a username, a consistent “home” you post it to, and a memorable name are gonna be your best bets on holding onto any notoriety.

  2. Sorry to echo what the other poster said, but yeah, if you put it out there on any kind of free board it’ll likely get stolen if it’s any good and you’ll have little recourse to do anything about it. Authors on Literotica.com see their stories “harvested” and put into ebooks for sale on Amazon all the time.
