[MOD UPDATE] Automoderator is now running

I’ve added automoderator to the subreddit. My main focus was to add functionality to alert the mods (myself and /u/sarevok9) when posts are reported.

When reporting posts it’s best to use “other” and the reason why. Especially for stories containing participants under the age of 18. As outlined in the sidebar, these posts will be removed. I would like to thank those that are already doing this.

Stories that contain infidelity *are not in violation of the rules*. Please stop reporting them.

Automod will also block postings from users with new accounts to help with spam.

There’s a few more background things for us mods, but these were the highlights to be aware of.

  10. Will AutoMod be automatically removing reported posts or comments for any reason?

    Auto-removing posts seems to invite report brigades, but it actually tends to work out alright for comments. There are some real assholes who comment sometimes, and getting AutoMod to stomp them after 5 reports might help.

  11. Quite a lot of people have created accounts just to post here after enjoying the sub. Will this prevent or discourage them?

Messaged the mods a couple of times over several hours, no response. Tried posting the story again, still blocked. I want to write more for the sub, but don’t know if it’s worth since it’s such a battle to get posts to show up.
