The sun heated my bald head as I walked into the hotel.
The first day of my new life was ahead of me, and with it, an overwhelming number of decisions that I had to make. For the last ten months, everything had been decided for me, every minute of every day. Now, I had a lot of ideas to try and goals to achieve.
I checked into the hotel that Master Nene had reserved for me. I would still be in contact with him, he was still my master, and I was still his pet. He would give me assignments and challenges, and I would get them done.
I learned many things over the last year, for example, the value of discipline and order, so the first thing I did when I got to my room was an inventory. What did I have? What did I need? What is more urgent? These were all important questions I had to answer in order to start my new life with a solid foundation.
The first question was easy. Before I moved into The Pod, I sold my house and invested my money. That money and the few clothes I had on me were the totality of my belongings.
