Fall happens to be my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather that allows for a comfortable bon fire. There is just something mesmerising about watching the flames dance in a fire pit.
So one cool fall evening my husband and I decided it would be the perfect night for a fire and some drinks.
While we have had our fair share for fires in our fire pit in the back yard, we wanted more of a camp fire. So we ended up going out to our friends property.
The site was perfect, about a 20 minute walk through the woods before we reached the clearing that had been set up for camping.
We made quick work of gathering up the wood we would need for a fire. The moon was bright enough you didn’t even need a flashlight.
While my husband started building the fire I set to laying out the blanket. In a short time he had a good base for the fire.
My husband had not yet gotten the fire started, when one of his friends, Jon, called him and asked if we wanted to do anything tonight. Neither of us were bothered by the idea of Jon joining us.
