Another week, another hotel stay. Just the one night this time and not in my usual hotel or area. Everything was fully booked in my usual business-type hotel so I opted for one of the more tourist-y hotels. A bit pricier than normal, but needs must.
When I checked in I was delighted to see the hotel lobby full of groups of couples mingling and talking with each other. Clearly some sort of group trip to the city. As I walked past I picked up a few different accents. All European, but mostly French and German. I joined the queue to check in and while I did that, a bus arrived and the group climbed aboard. Noting they had no luggage, I was hopeful these couples would be back later and feeling frisky!
My room was quiet and spacious. No adjoining door this time, but I was at the end of a long corridor and had rooms on either side and directly opposite. On arrival, all was quiet so I started to unpack and decided to have a shower before heading out for a walk and something to eat. As I dried myself off afterwards, I heard the first gasp.
