I went to visit the coast of Croatia few years ago to have a holiday/visit my son who was living out there. I stayed for a couple of days and spent time with him in the evenings but during the days I had time to myself, so I booked kayaking/cliff jumping excursion. I didn’t have any intentions this time, I genuinely just wanted to go kayaking.
I arrived at the excursion centre and there was a man waiting for me, who was my guide. He was very small, I was even taller than him! He was also quite old, he must’ve been in his 50’s (I was in my early 40’s at the time). He began explaining to me the process of what was going to happen, and I noticed he had a strong Australian accent, which I immediately loved. He told me we were going to kayak to a cliff, that was about 8 meters high and jump off a few times and kayak back. I’ve always been a bit of an adrenaline junkie, so it was right up my street.
