Travelling as I do, I visit several cities on a regularly scheduled basis, eat at many of the same places and stay in familiar hotels consistently. Eating out one evening I noticed two attractive women, both in their 30’s. One was leaving and the other waited a couple minutes before getting up to leave. As she passed by my table I stood up and she paused, as I brazenly asked if she’d like to share an after-dinner drink with me. I expected to hear “no thanks'” but instead she looked at me, nodded yes and I pulled the chair out for her to sit.
We had a nice visit where I learned Charlene was married to a man that traveled for work 80% of the time, no children. Based on a perceived level of neglect, I felt there might be an opportunity for fun when she handed me her phone number and said that I could call her. In planning my next trip, I called her to see if her Thursday afternoon was open or booked. “It’s booked now, give me a call when you want to meet.”
