This is the true story of how my wife (42F) and I (44M) spent our last “pre-Covid” Halloween. Truth be told, I am a little hesitant to share this story because of its very personal nature. But, at the same time, it is too incredible to keep all to myself and if I don’t document it, the memory may be lost to time. So, I am detailing it here for all of you…
It was Halloween weekend and we were staying out of town at a premium hotel that we’ve always stayed at for our Halloween fun. The top two floors of the hotel are suite level and include entrance to a cocktail lounge that is exclusive to those two floors. Drinks are served free inside the lounge. So, while the rooms might be a bit pricey, in the long run it’s really quite economical – if you enjoy free drinks.
The hotel is also within walking distance of the downtown area in a college town. Every year they host a huge Halloween festival with live bands, crazy costumes and lots of drinking. For us, it’s a yearly opportunity to get away from home and cut-loose.
