A couple of weeks ago I had nothing to do on Saturday, so I went for a walk in the afternoon. I was listening to a podcast and had walked about 45 minutes from my apartment, and was about to turn back when I saw a BMW convertible pull up next to a coffee shop a little up the road. An older man, in his late 40s/early 50s I’d guess, got out and entered the shop.
He had grey hair, thin, handsome face with a cheeky smile. I thought he was hot. I decided to go say hi. By the time I got to the coffee shop he was just paying for his order and standing aside waiting for it. I walked up to the till and ordered a flat white, then I stood next to him.
“Is that your BMW outside?” I asked him.
“Yes” he responded smiling warmly at me “Birthday present to myself”
“I think convertibles are hot” I told him, smirking.
“I’m glad someone likes it. My wife said it’s a sign of a mid-life crisis.”
