“So what are you going to do about her?” I laughed in the loud atmosphere of the restaurant. We had long since finished eating on our first date, and surprisingly we had been talking and having a really good time.
“I don’t know, she’s so toxic right now. I’m just glad she plays on the other team when we play soccer.” She laughed, shaking her head.
I could not believe my luck – to think that *this* girl is on tinder. A young college student, athlete, beautiful and graceful blonde like her. She was that special kind of girl, the one who catches your eye because of her beauty, not because of her assets. Of course she had those too.
“You know, I gotta tell you, this is going way better than it usually does for me.” She said.
“Yeah, I feel the same way.” I said.
She just kind of looked at me for a second, smiling. I noticed that the restaurant had quieted down somewhat. Some staff walked around, closing the blinds, and I had the weird realization that there were no men in the restaurant. I could’ve sworn I saw some in here earlier. Maybe they all left for some reason? The restaurant went dark, and staff lit candles at every table.
