Anthony gave her his arm as they walked to the ballroom. She couldn’t help the butterflies she had and she didn’t know if it was the super formal event they were going to or the fact that her boss was so goddamn sexy.
“Nervous?” he asked.
“A bit, why?” Kylie asked.
“You have a serious grip,” Anthony said. Kylie immediately loosened and went to let go, but Anthony put his hand on hers to keep her there. “It’s fine.”
“What exactly am I supposed to be doing again?” she asked.
“Listening and observing,” he said. “Also, keeping the other arm candy at bay so I can do my networking.”
Kylie thought for a minute.
“So, I’m the arm candy,” she said, eyebrows raised.
“In some ways, yes,” Anthony said, and he pulled out her chair for her. “You underestimate how much they prowl at events like this and I have work to do.”
“So how do you introduce me?” Kylie asked. Anthony smirked.
“I don’t,” he said. “The gentlemen know I’m married.”
Kylie looked around.
“That’s disgusting,” she said and she turned to look at him. He was watching her with a lustful eye. “Is this even…legal?”
