***I’ve worked in restaurants (kitchen) for a long time, either as a line cook or manager. Most people who have a bit of experience working in those places are aware of the kind of debaucherous people that tend to inhabit these establishments and the kinds of things that regularly go on after (and during) work. They often involve alcohol, drugs and sex.
While I have many stories of work-related encounters, this one is fairly fresh and a highlight, so here goes.
I was working for a busy restaurant in a ski town that had lots of seasonal workers, including many people from other countries, high schoolers and traveling laborers.
A couple summers ago, i the normal parade of new people who come and go in my restaurant, I was introduced to Amy and she would be hosting/food running for the summer between her senior year of high school and college.
I often worked a station that sat out in the middle of the dining room and thus I ended up socializing with many customers and co-workers over time. Amy was one of the people I chatted with most, as she would be bored and end up hanging out by my station.
