I wrap up my final phone call for the day and begin logging my notes. My coworker waves to me on his way out of the office and stops by my desk to ask me if I’m going to the team outing for a few drinks before heading home for the weekend. I pause for a moment and consider what a long and exhausting week it has been. It feels like every client has chosen to be a colossal douchebag and everything I need done is awaiting some pencil pusher’s approval.
“I think I’m going to just call it a night, Jack, it’s been a hell of a week and I’m ready to start my weekend.”
“You’re sure?” He asks “We’ll have an opportunity to connect with some of the new team members in the other offices.”
