Hello all – this is my first attempt at writing anything like this, but I thought maybe I’d share to see what you think. I am actually writing this for my girlfriend, so I’ll post updated parts as I continue writing. We’ve discussed a bunch of plot ideas :) Thanks!
The notification on Holly’s phone went off with a ding, signaling that she had received an email – hopefully THE email. It was mid-July, and the school should be sending out the final versions of the student schedules for next year. Holly had been waiting for this day since the end of the school year, but not for the reason the rest of her friends were excited for. She paused her Netflix show, grabbed her phone, and there it was. The email from her school with the subject line, “2019 – 2020 Academic Schedule – Holly Winters.”
She scanned over her schedule, which was mostly what she expected for her senior year. The required math and science classes, along with some elective writing and art classes that she had chosen in May. But none of that mattered as much as the class placed in the last time slot of the day – Honors Psychology with Mr. Forest. She did it; she got in.
