This story takes place a few years ago in a pre-pandemic world. I don’t remember the dialogue perfectly and have embellished just a few details to make it hotter, but this is very much a true story at heart.
I grew up on a Pacific island, but one of the poorer ones with little in the way of tourist infrastructure. There were always people from out of town stopping by, but they were usually either U.S. military or middle-aged white guys looking for a new surf spot.
Thus, it was quite the surprise one day when I showed up to my favorite beach after work, and lounging in the fading afternoon sun was a gorgeous redhead. She literally stuck out like a diamond, as her skin was a milky pale white, dozens of shades lighter than anyone else on the beach. Her hair was long and curly, and it almost looked ablaze in the soft afternoon glow.
