As per every boring morning Beth was listening to her husband James talk about all the office gossip and how some executive had hooked up with some secretary. This was par for the course at this point considering every man in an office saw it as there job to break in the new girl at the firm. The first time he had told her she was excited to listen that something so scandalous could happen at an accounting firm but became repetitive at the fifth time of telling but still she feigned interest pretending like hearing about some twenty something girl being taken advantage of by some middle aged man was fun.
As James was telling me how they were taking bets on who the next guy would be it made wonder if he ever tried it she laughed that thought away in her head knowing he was much too timid to cheat on her so she smiled away listening to him drone on before he left on another day leaving her alone again.
