Sometimes is harder to overcome a heartbreak from a lover than from your best friend. After all, you will never be 100% sure about what happened. Did I mess up the signs? Did I stepped on her trust? Did I ruined our friendship forever?
Falling in love with your friend is not the most uncommon think to happen. It can not even be on purpose. One day you were just looking at her and her smile made your heart pace faster. Or a subtle move of her hair just filled your stomach with butterflies. And then, all of the sudden, you are thinking about this girl from the rest of the week, and you can’t just get rid of this kind of thoughts.
That’s what was keeping Mark awake all night, after he finally got the courage to ask Lina out, and she panicked and left him without any solid grounds. They’ve met at the beginning of college, while he was only a Sophomore at USC, wandering lost across those halls, when he finally got to meet her, a lovely Sophomore who showed him the campus, some tricks for the cafeteria, and a wonderful and quiet place where he could go whenever he wanted to let off of some thoughts. Her wonderful blue eyes and tanned skin composed her beauty like a Greek Goddess. Her thin lips and light brown hair added to the image like a sculpture, and although she wasn’t really the tallest person, her smile made him feel a little intimidated when they first met.
