Lisa was typing furiously. Her vacation starts tomorrow, and this investor report was the last thing standing between her and the beach. Music blaring, she was the last person in the office staring at her screen when everything went black.
“WHATTHEFUCK?!” She cried, wide-eyed as she slowly backed away from her desk.
Equally startling was the fact that she was now sitting in near-complete darkness as the only light source had been her monitor after the cleaning crew had turned off the office lights, not realizing she was still there.
Lisa found herself enveloped by a faint blue hue as her computer rebooted and the startup screen popped up. She turned off the music and stood motionless, not knowing what to do.
Shit…When did I last save? She thought to herself as the sign-in screen popped up.
She leaned in close as she entered her credentials. She held her breath as her desktop began to populate. There was some relief when she found the report, but her stomach dropped as she opened up the file to find two hours of work lost to the ether.
