So for a bit of background, I’m currently in hospital for some relatively minor surgery, antibiotics and recovery. I’ve been here for about a week.
This is a teach hospital and often there’s student nurses that observe registered nurses performing duties, which I don’t have a problem with. A few times this week, I’ve had this one nurse student that’s been helping with a couple of the nurses. She’s a cute little Indian piece, with who seems quite friendly and was always nice.
Today she was shadowing a nurse but was also leading with general observation (BP, pulse, temp taking), which is where things start.
While she is taking my observations, she put her hand on my shoulder. At first I thought it was something they’re trained to do for reassurance or something, but she lingered and massaged my shoulder with her hand.
Next time the nurse came in to take blood and hook up my IV antibiotics, this little hottie kept making eye contact and would smile when I looked at her, but then bashfully look away. This time it was a hand on my lower leg which she gently rubbed. I smiled at her knowingly so she knew that I knew.
