I live in a small town where not much happens. I have a circle of friends here, there's about 10 of us who usually hang out during the weekends. Most of them are people I went to school with and a couple are work mates. But you know, it gets a bit stale. I love my friends and I love hanging out with them but sometimes you want to meet new people.
So this weekend my buddy John asked me to join him at a party in a much bigger city that's about 50 miles away from us. A girl he knew, Amanda, was going to a birthday party for one of her friends and had invited John. He in turn asked me to come since he knew I wanted to meet new people. I was excited and instantly said yes.
