When I was 23 I was working in an office in a small-ish western town. I was single and bored most of the time. Then one day Penny joined the team and I was instantly under the spell of her curly blonde hair and dark brown eyes. Right away we caught each other sneaking glances at each other. When we talked we would look each other up and down. It was nice, and after a few days we began to hang out outside of work. We would get lunch and go for coffee (and I would order her hot cocoa).
She was Mormon and I was not, so I knew any relationship might not go anywhere, but she was full of surprises.
We liked each other and it was fun working together, but we also had a lot of tension. We would stay late talking and sometimes we would forget to start talking again. That kind of thing.
Finally we got together to watch a show. She came by earlier in the day and my roommates were on a weekend trip.
