This happened a couple weeks ago and I have held off posting it because there was so much good advice on the last post recommending to steer clear, but I still slipped up anyway. In the interest of continuity I’m going to post this last update and promise myself and the readers that this will be the last time something like this happens. So my friend’s dad texted me a couple days after the last time we met up and told me he had the house to himself. After reading the advice of a bunch of Redditors who are wiser than I am (thanks by the way) I decided to tell him the way he treated me like his son actually made me a bit uncomfortable since I am good friends with his son, and that the whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth (literally and metaphorically). I accidentally hooked up with my mate’s dad [update] [MM]

I don’t really know how to use Reddit properly so I’m not sure how to link to the first part of this story, but basically a few months ago I (18m) had this brief ongoing thing with an older dude at my local pool (feel free to ask for details I guess). I’d recommend going back to read that story because I don’t think this will really make sense otherwise.

Anyway not long after I made that first post my friend’s dad messaged me on Facebook telling me it was good to see me and asking how I was and stuff. I let him know how awkward that whole situation made me feel and he sorta made a comment about how my friend (his son) can never find out about what we did. Obviously I agreed because a. I didn’t want to lose a pretty good friend and b. I’m not even out of the closet yet.

That was sorta it for a little bit, but after maybe a few hours of no chatting he messaged again saying how the fact that he knows who I am now kinda turns him on because he’s only ever done stuff with guys anonymously. So the interesting part of this story all happened a number of months ago. I (18m) had just turned 18 at the time and had already spent a while coming to terms with my sexuality. As I grew more comfortable with myself I started to do slightly more experimental things like shower completely naked in the open showers at my local pool when I was sure I was the only one left late at night (something I would have been far too anxious to do when I was younger).

On one occasion where I had just finished training and was completely nude in the shower, I happened to be joined by an older guy. He was probably in his early-mid 40s and was also not wearing his bathing suit in the shower. I remember immediately feeling my face heat up because it felt like I’d been ‘caught’ by this older guy (even though what I was doing is relatively normal).
