My birthday was actually a couple months ago, but we kept getting waylaid by colds, errands, weekend plans, etc. We’ve had regular sex since then, but mythical “birthday sex” had now become a bit of a fun joke in our home. But while I was out shopping, my boyfriend messaged me, “We could have birthday sex tonight. You can opt in or opt out, but if you opt in you can’t ask any questions or complain.”
