Last month, I was at a bar with a couple of friends from work for a happy hour and near the end of the night I ran into my girlfriend from college Lauren. Lauren and I dated for about 3 years in college in the late 2000s and I broke up with her shortly after I graduated because I didn’t see myself marrying her.
Anyway it’s been 9 years since we broke up, and I have not seen her since breaking up with her. So, I snuck away from the work group and we caught up about the last decade, and as it turns out she’s getting married January 12th to some guy she’s been dating for 7 years, but he’s out of town this weekend with college buddies at a football game. After 6-7 drinks we decide to go grab a bite to eat because we are getting pretty drunk. (I totally ditched my work friends) We uber over to a taco place near her apartment just outside of downtown, so she can feed her dog and let him out.
