“It’s on. Photos and video allowed?” I ask, getting a nod. I was gonna win this.
We each pulled out our commander decks, and we set up. My Mizzix deck for me, an Atraxa deck for her.
As we’re drawing, I realize something.
“What makes us lose clothes?” I asked, mildly concerned, realizing I should have picked a different deck.
“Counterspells, board wipes, infinite mana. That stuff.” Ava says, not noticing my commander. “Stuff that gets tedious. Why do you—” She starts to ask, before seeing my commander.
She laughed at me.
“Too late to change, but you can have a free mulligan.” She says, and we start to play.
