Elevator Lust [29M/27F] (First time writing)

Someone told me to write them a short story in the third person about an encounter between two strangers. This is the first time I’ve ever done this.

I know more could be added and revised. This was on short notice and took me over an hour to write. I’m not even sure if this belongs here but she said I should share it and that it was surprisingly good.

“Elevator”

11pm. She patiently waited as the doors belonging to the Graham Gates hotel elevator finally opened revealing a box of mirrors laden with golden floors. The bell echoed through the empty lobby as she walked in preparing to head to her room after an uneventful night. Her reflection in the daunting mirrors showed sad eyes and a dress meant to only be worn for one special night. The recent rendezvous that brought about her stolen smile was one of the many fruitless attempts to satiate her soul’s pining. The solid steel doors begin to close only to be interrupted gently by another guest, a man. A kind smile followed by a confident nod is given from him as she quickly straightens her posture, attempting to mask her somberness. Three relaxed steps forward and the doors are finally allowed to close.
