“Sam, how have you been?”
Sam brushed his coat off from whatever dust he thinks its there, but once he saw me he stood straight and gave me a short nod. “Victor, it’s always a pleasure,” came his smooth, velvet voice and then his eyes perked up once he sees the people behind me. “I see you’re in need of a bigger room. Shall I get that ready for you? Perhaps with wine and spaghetti and meatballs for Ms. Oliveira here?”
“Nothing get’s by you, does it Sam?” I chuckled and he gave me a small smile as he bowed again, “The biggest room you have, please.”
“The gold room? Victor, please understand that I cannot give you the usual discount if you want that room.”
“I understand, Sam and I would still want it.”
“I see. The gold room is $1000 a night, Victor. Would you still want to go through with it?” Same said as he typed away in his computer, “the only type of discount I can give you is a free dinner. I apologize for not being able to do more.”
