This is a bit long but if you need to you can scroll down to the ——– line below.
Please bear with me.
We have been in contact since she had left to take care of her dad who was terminally ill years ago. Emails and phone calls at least once a week and we both knew that we could say anything to each other without fear of judgement. Even when my wife passed we had talked on the phone for hours and cried together.
Elaina was our own naughty nanny for about 6 years. She had shared a life and a bed with my wife Janet and me and we had all been sad when she had to leave. Even My kids loved their nanny and call her from time to time for advice even though they are grown and have moved out.
Last week I had a really bad day and all of this plague frustration and needing someone to talk to boiled over into me making a call to Elaina and leaving a message that I would be there soon. I just grabbed my go-bag and put on my leathers and walked out the door. Within minutes I was on the road on my bike and headed for Elaina’s place 500+ miles away. I rode like I was being pulled to her.
