Earlier this year I made a trip out to Europe from the US. Originally, I was going to visit another Redditor. She offered for me to stay at her place for a week and a half and I agreed two months ahead of time. She’d show me around a city I’ve always wanted to see. Besides the strangely open and welcoming attitude to someone she’s never met before and had only know for 2 months (met 4 months before trip), I thought it was a win-win. SURPRISINGLY about 2 weeks before I arrived, she started dating someone else online and said I couldn’t stay at her place anymore. When I hung out with her friends, they made a comment that she tends to be weirdly attached to guys. For 3 nights in a row they invited me out to different parts of the city and I was having a blast, but she slowly became more and more obsessed with her phone as the time went on. Whatever 🤷♂️. I was going to have a great time in Europe regardless of this internet woman.
