My ex husband and I split time with our son and worked out an on/off two week rotation. My ex and I are lucky enough to still be friendly with each other post divorce, we just didn’t do the whole marriage thing together right. But we both love our son and want to raise him without the usual strains of divorce.
It was a clean divorce and the time split with our son was decided between the two of us with loose guidelines since life happens and sometimes you need to bring your son to your ex husbands house because you have a date coming over.
I had a date planned with a guy I have been seeing non exclusively for a few months now and was hoping to have alone time so brought my son to spend the night at my ex husbands house. The next night my ex brought our son back over and that’s where the trouble begins.
Our son was fast asleep when my ex showed up and carried him upstairs. I wasn’t planning on my ex staying long, but when he returned down stairs he quickly poured himself a drink and started asking how work and life had been.
