You’ve had the place to yourself and you decided that we should meet and have a chat. Hang out and talk. Nothing else planned, but just to feel if there was a connection in person as there was through the messages shared.
You waited nervously on the couch with your cell gripped tightly in your hand. Waiting for the text that I was either near or outside.
Your cell sings and buzzes, you fumble quickly and open the notification.
“outside”, you read and text back to come in.
Opening the door you feel your heart beating and you put on a smile to hide your nervousness.
“Hi”, I say as I stand at the door.
You say hello back and let me in. I walk past you and you can smell the Irish Spring body wash and light scent of Aqua after shave.
Closing and locking the door you follow behind me as I make my way to the couch.
We shyly smile at each other and do our best to make a conversation track with little dead time.
Noticeably were both getting comfortable and our body language isn’t as stiff.
