Sometimes, after a long day of work the best thing one can do is go for a drive. They say it helps clear the mind, but in reality, only one thing can truly clear the mind.

After another boring day at work, I was dead to the world. I didn’t want to do anything but I sure as hell didn’t want to be bored. I didn’t quite know what I wanted to do with the rest of my day, so I decided to just go for a drive and see where I ended up. I ended up 80 miles away, in a different city, in a different state.

I ended up in a small rundown bookstore that had clearly seen better days. I had seen the store from the road as I was driving. It had a super faded sign hanging outside “You don’t need it, but we got it”. Having caught my eye, I needed to figure out what the meaning behind this sign was. In Junior Year of college, Covid was in full effect. Much of the city surrounding my school was still shut down. But they still thought it was a good idea to have all the students come back.

So I ended up going back and in between the sufferings of no-contact classes mixed with take-out dining hall food only, I found myself in the center of a love triangle.
